Saturday Summary #7

It was X-mas week here in South Texas, so I took the week off and hung with the family, read some books. Supermom has been trying to get me to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so I finally capitulated, in all it was a welcome rest, right up until the chaos of X-mas hit the house like a hurricane. Serious adolescent conversation on the reality of Santa ensued, was he real, if we don't believe will he still bring presents and just who the heck is this Hungarian elf fellow anyway. Of course after finding that jolly old fella is a little lactose intolerant (causes extreme flatulence - hey how did you think that sleigh was fueled anyway) a placation of soda and rice krispie treats was accepted as the correct course of action to get Santa to forget recent transgression against the parental units (who are obviously automated and slightly seasonally inappropriate anyway - just look at that Netflix queue). Finally on X-mas eve they collapsed at around 10 - besides plans to kidnap Santa - to settle the debate once and for all.

Then of course X-mas day came. Presents were opened, games were played, transformers perplexed dad like never before. Dad read books on post WWII spies and Kinights Templars. On Saturday Dad and Capoiera Cowboy took off for his special day - it was a little late this year as we had the joint b-day and then X-mas - so we waited until boxing day. So we went and saw G-force - a cinematic masterpiece it is not but still enjoyable enough - if you like the whole talking slightly oversized rodent thing. Although they get to pick the lunch spot, Dad is starting to get physically ill from McD do we may need to change venues to like sushi or something. Well that is pretty much how the week was, pretty mellow followed by extreme chaos.
