So not much happened during the day - I worked (crunched number and thunk some), ate some leftovers for lunch, went home. The most exciting part of the day was watched some reality TV. First up was So you think you can dance - the kids adore this show and they demonstrate this by flinging around the house like twirling banshees. S had even come up with a special move for tonight's episode, that included a spin in the air type move - you had to be there. The quality of the dancer's is excellent, but one has to go home. This always the most difficult part of the show for the kids because they are unsure of the concept of winning/losing even though they are uber-competitive with each other. My bet for tonight is on Tony going home, as the dance was in his genre (hip hop) and wasn't as good as the others.
After SYTHCD, we watched Top Chef Masters, which is one of those combat cooking shows but this takes the best chef's in the US and pits them against each other. Last night's winner was Hubert - classically trained french chef from San Fransico. I was totally impressed by this guy - first he won the quick fire by making this amazing desert that wowed the girl scout judges then he cooked a three course meal in a dorm room using a hot plate, toaster oven, and a microwave. Amazing. The best part of the show was watching these Master chef's attempt to use a microwave - they have no clue because they don't use them.
We headed upstairs to bed and J and I wanted to watch Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, but C had a nightmare and didn't go back to sleep until midnight - about an hour and half after me. So maybe tomorrow but I think we have to watcht he Next Food network Star. Damnit I'm determined to get my money out of Time-Warner cable this month.
