P365 D71: Blossom
So while I was gone, Jennifer had picked up a new puppy, Blossom, a great pyr (don't make me spell it). We had talked about this ever since Rufus (our old Great Dane) passed away, the younger one (Ranger) has had tremenodus emotional issues. Canines are social animals by nature (try being a hermit) and when a puppy grows up with another dog it generally needs a companion. So while I was gone she looked online for available puppies. We chose a female in order to have a strong alpha female, most canines our dominated by females and Ranger needs a strong presence to defer to. We also needed a dog that was uber-patient with kids and would be protective. Blossom was raised by an individual who generally raises dogs for herding goats, sheeps, or cattles. However, she is terrific and is growing accustomed to the creature comforts of living inside, now the house training begins again.
